Bill and Donna
Axline

Creative Axline Mountain Railway
Originally built in the 90s and last shown 7 years ago,
this totally reconstructed garden railroad with a new track plan now contains
approximately 600 feet of new track spread over four separate loops all within
the 3000 square foot garden, much of which includes scale plantings. Nine
bridges/trestles and three tunnels allow the trains to negotiate the landscape.
The layout is quite innovative and uses the soil
excavated from the construction of the swimming pool to create the hills,
canyons, and scenic breaks. Additionally, the faux-rock swimming pool is
fully integrated into the railroad with two of the bridges spanning the water
cascading into the pool. There is also a new Gazebo that allows people to
socialize at the center of the action. There is also new workshop and
storage facility that allow quick placement of the trains. As an added
bonus, don't miss Donna's prize rose garden.
