Commonwealth Canyon RR Open House

This eight year old 1950s era standard gauge garden railroad has nearly 1,000 feet of track with a three scale mile mainline loop, multiple passing sidings, and newly developed industrial spurs.  Many bridges, tunnels, and a pond with a waterfall witness the regular passage of streamlined passenger trains and manifest freights in the integrated railroad landscape.  See the modern passenger diesel led domeliners, City of Los Angeles, Super Chief, and California Zephyr trains from the mid-century glory days of the magical travel-by-train promotions.
